Getting your Google Classroom Ready
Getting Ready For a New School Year
Welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year! Teachers are always anxious to get back into their classrooms to do final clean up touches, setup, and general organizing. The same goes with our digital files and lesson plans.
Here’s some tips to clean up you Google Classroom.
Archive last years classes. They don’t disappear, rather they go to the Archive Folder.
To archive last years classes, on the class card, click the three dots.
Click Archive
You can also archive classes you are enrolled in.
To locate the archive folder:
At the top of the Google Classroom home screen, click Menu
Scroll down and click Archived classes and select the class you want to view.
But wait; there’s more!
What about all the classroom folders in Drive? If you’re like me, you just let them pile up. Here’s the simple way to clean up your Classroom Drive folder.
Click on Classroom (it will be highlighted) - Click and create a new folder. I named mine Archived Classes.
Simply drag and drop the old classes into your Archived Classes folder.
Voilà!! Your digital classroom is as ready as your physical classroom.
